How do I get information about renting the theater or booking an event at the Lafayette Theater?

If you’re interested in renting the theater for an event, please fill out this form or contact the Lafayette Theater by email: thelafayettetheater@gmail.com. Please include what type of event you are interested in booking, dates you may be interested in, and your contact information.

What is your capacity?

Our capacity is 1012. Depending on staff, security, and production needed for specific events, a smaller amount of tickets may be available for purchase.

What time do doors open for an event?

Doors will generally open one hour before the first act performs. Any changes will be noted on the ticket or on our website.

May I smoke inside the Lafayette Theater?

Lafayette Theater is a non-smoking venue. No smoking of any kind is permitted anywhere in the venue.

What happens if I am caught smoking inside the Lafayette Theater?

You will be immediately ejected from the venue, with no refund.

What kinds of items are not allowed inside the Lafayette Theater?

Illegal substances of any kind, firearms, fireworks, any type of “rage stick” that resembles a weapon, outside food, and outside drinks are STRICTLY PROHIBITED on any premises of the venue.

How can I purchase tickets to the Lafayette Theater?

Tickets for the Lafayette Theater can be purchased across the street at Pete’s Diner 24 hours a day 7 days a week or directly from the Lafayette Theater website at www.lafayettetheater.com. Please note all sales are final unless the event is canceled. If an event is canceled, please seek your refund from the point of purchase or by contacting Ticketfly Customer Support.

Where and when can I pick up my will call tickets?

Will call tickets can be picked up at the box office on the day of the event, one hour before doors open.

Can someone else pick up my will call tickets?

Yep! Please provide this person with the last 4 digits of the credit card used to purchase the tickets and a photocopy of your picture ID.

Where can I sit at a Lafayette Theater show?

Most concerts at Lafayette Theater are general admission with fixed seating available in the balcony on a first-come, first-served basis. For shows advertised as seated, each individual section is general admission with seating available on a first-come, first served basis.

Do I need a ticket for my child/baby to attend a concert?

Yes. All persons, regardless of age, need a ticket to enter the theater. We generally recommend not bringing babies to concerts or movies.

Where can I park when I come to a show at the Lafayette Theater?

Parking on the street in downtown Lafayette is free all the time. Mon-Fri there is a 2 hour limit on most parking spaces before 5pm. The parking lot across the street is $20 Mon-Fri before 5:00pm and only $1 after 5:00pm and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Additional parking near the Lafayette Theater is available at the parking garage on the corner of 5th and South which is free on nights and weekends.

Can I drink at the Lafayette Theater?

You most certainly can! The Lafayette has a full liquor license. However, no outside alcohol is allowed during both private and public events.

Who may enter the bar area?

Only those 21 and up are allowed in the Designated Bar Area

Is there a lost and found at the Lafayette Theater?

Items found at the Lafayette Theater will be held in our office for one week after the event. Please be able to describe the object and provide a photo ID when picking up the item.

Is there ADA access at the Lafayette Theater?

Yes, we have handicap accessibility and restrooms at the venue. Please ask one of our helpful security or box office staff members for more information upon arrival or contact us at thelafayettetheater@gmail.com at least 3 days in advance to make special arrangements.

Can I take pictures or videos of the event?

The Lafayette Theater does not allow any professional photo, video or audio recording unless it has been pre-approved by the artist and the Lafayette Theater. Flash photography is never allowed, as it disrupts the experience of artists and guests. If you are interested in filming or photographing events please contact thelafayettetheater@gmail.com.
